THE FLOW AND FRACTURE OF ZONE REFINED TUNGSTEN

Abstract

A discussion of the brittle ductile transition and the deformation modes of tungsten is presented. The application of the electron beam techniques for purifying tungsten is compared to the induction melting technique. The construction details of an induction type zone melter is presented. (Author)
