Abstract

A SOLUTION IS GIVEN FOR THE PROBLEM OF A SOLID SY METRIC ELA TIC CYLINDER WHICH IS STRESS-FREE ON ITS SURFACE EXCEPT FOR A FINITE AND OVER WH<%(N +++Integral quation used to provide a olution for a solid ymmetrical elastic cylinder which is substantially stress free on its surface.AD -<($ $<>Div 17ch the radial displ cement is prescribed. The problem is formulated in terms of dual integral equations for which a s ries solution is given. Th surface pressure is given for several examples. (Author)
