PROBLEMS IN METALLURGY AND PHYSICS OF METALS

Abstract

THIS TRANSLATION OF Russian work covers the following fields: (1) variation in the modulus of elasticity in nickel alloys containing varying amounts of aluminum, copper, cobalt, chromium, iron, and molybdenum with heat treatment; (2) brittleness in steel with low-temperature tempering; (3) electron microscope study of fractures in failure of steel and iron; and (4) study of structure of steel involving changes between austenitic and martensitic forms.
