RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM INTRINSIC RELIABILITY SUBMINIATURE CERAMIC CAPACITORS

Abstract

A detailed discussion on the results of pre-matrix I testing is presented. Data and graphs are included. This pre-matrix work has been centered about an effort to predict the life of a capacitor by measuring its discharge current. Among the relationships examined in the course of this study are those between: (1) resistance and temperature; (2) initial resistance and time to failure; (3) initial resistance symmetry and time to failure; and (4) intermediate resistance and time to failure.
