RESISTORS, FIXED FILM TYPE GENERAL PURPOSE

Abstract

Performance data from RC- 7, .29 megohm and RC- 20, .20 megohm resistors is presented for informational purposes. Mechanism of failure studies have identified two modes of failure: (1) damaged resistive film, and (2) imperfect cp termination beads. All reliability testing has been completed except for 100 C load life and 175 C no load. In order to meet the failure rate goal of .1%, some efficient nondestructive screening test will be developed. To this end, a 96 hour load life ''burn-in'' screening test was tried.
