THE NUCLEAR PROPERTIES OF RHENIUM

Abstract

A complete decay scheme of au-196 and Au-196* is proposed. This decay scheme is based on shell model calculations and experimental measurements of the emitted gamma rays from Au-196 and Au-196*. The hlf-life of Au-196* was found to be 10.4 hours. The absolute intensity of each gamma ray associated with the decay of Au-196 and Au-196* was obtained.
