INTRODUCTION TO THE PMR REAL TIME DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

Abstract

Research is presented on the PMR Real Time data processing system. The scope and function of the system at its present stage of development is explained. The document includes a block diagram of the flow of information to the PMR digital data system, the programming requirement for the Larey-LeRoy computer buffer system for the IBM 7090, a list of people who may be contacted for additional information on the individual subsystems. A brief description of the following is given: AN/FPS-16 radar, missile tracking radar, Cotar, digital distribution unit, speed changer and buffer, Collins TE-206 Kineplex transmitter and receiver, data multiplexing synchronizer, MicroSADIC and DOLAR systems, teletype, paper tape, Larey-LeRoy computer buffer system, and real time input record.
