RESEARCH ON FUNDAMENTALS OF GEOMETRICAL OPTICS

Abstract

A set of programs are prepared to carry out many of the requirements for automatic lens design on a data processing machine. This set of programs is called ORDEALS. The ORDEALS programs are described as follows: optics programs for the computer, a general linearization method for automatic lens correction, and an introduction to the geometric optical frequency response.
