SEGMENTED ROCKET MOTOR CASE PROGRAM

Abstract

Research was directed toward design, development, fabrication, and testing of lightweight motor case segments, culminating in a design applicable to large (160 to 240-in. diameter) segmented solid propellant rocket motors. A summary of work accomplished on the bench test program and on the 43-in. dia. subscale segments is included.
