STRUCTURAL VERIFICATION TESTS OF THE AEROJET UTILITY VAN

Abstract

Structural tests to verify the acceptability of the utility van as a transport vehicle for second-stage Minuteman operational motors were successfully completed. During the tests, the van and tie-downs were subjected to limit loads to determine stress levels at critical load points and to measure vehicle deflection and recovery from the downward and side loads imposed.
