TUNGSTEN SHEET ROLLING PROGRAM

Abstract

The melting program was scaled up to provide 6-in. conditioned ingots for extrusion. Direct extrusion to sheet bar and extrusion to round for subsequent press forging to sheet bar was accomplished satisfactorily on four ingots. The round extrusions were forged to sheet bar and rolling was initiated.
