A REPORT OF DATA OBTAINED IN FLORIDA STRAITS AND OFF THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA, JANUARY-JUNE 1962

Abstract

Data collected during the first half of 1962 in Florida Straits, the eastern part of the Gulf of Mexico, and the Yucatan Channel are presented. The data were obtained for studies of the oceanographic conditions prevailing in Florida Straits and adjacent waters, with particular regard to the kinematics of the water movements and also to the physical environment of the shrimp population inhabiting the region of the Tortugas Shelf.
