RESEARCH ON SUBSTITUTED FLUOROCARBONS
Abstract
This annual report summarizes the research activities on the reaction of tetrafluoroallene and carbon suboxide with OF2 under varying con ditions. These studies included reactions carried out in the presence of light and in the dark, and over a wide range of temperatures. Although no nuclear magnetic resonance results indicating a new OF compound have been obtained, IR spectroscopy and gas-liquid chromatographic analyses indicated that definite compounds with oxidizing groups have been synthesized.
