BEHAVIORAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR KEY AAW PERSONNEL AND SUBTEAMS IN THE CIC/WCS COMPLEX

Abstract

This report is concerned with the development of behavioral specifications for key AAW personnel. When used in this report, behavioral specifica tions refer to a detailed description of the level of performance which may be expected of proficient personnel. These specifications differ from job descriptions in that they are derived from an analysis of actual performance, rather than from the requirements imposed by the system or its mission. Since they represent realizable goals, they may be used as perform ance standards against which training or readiness may be evaluated. In addition, the skills and knowledges required to perform a certain function may be inferred from the behavioral specification for this role, thus facilitating the design of a selection and training program which will develop these skills and knowledges.
