SUBIC COMPUTER CONCEPT STUDY. VOLUME II. APPENDICES
Abstract
Volume II of the SUBIC Computer Concept Study contains five appendices. Appendix A is a complete description of all representative data processing tasks (Phase I) which can possibly be performed by the SUBIC Computer System. Appendix B contains the flow charts developed during the analysis to aid in defining the tasks. In Appendix C, characteristics of the input-output system, which can efficiently handle various types of computer inputs and outputs, are described. An attempt is made in Appendix D to develop a method for analyzing, evaluating, and comparing the alternative computer systems on a well-defined, precise, quantitative basis (Phase III). Appendix E presents the application of this method (Phase IV) to three alternative computer systems and describes the problems found and the conclusions reached. (Author)
