A RADIOCHEMICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF CONTENT AND REMOVAL OF THE INERT CARRIER IN AN INERT CARRIER PROPELLANT MIXING PROCESS,

Abstract

A radiochemical method has been used to determine small amounts of inert diluent remaining in large amounts of propellant from the inert carrier propellant mixing process. The influ ence of certain parameters on the carrier content remaining in the propellant was investigated, as were the parameters influencing the rate of removal of the carrier from the propellants. Carrier content and removal rates are given for a single-base and double-base propellant. (Author)
