A STUDY OF THE EXPLOSION LIMITS OF SIMPLE DIFLUORAMINO COMPOUNDS

Abstract

Analyses of the gaseous products of the explosion of 1,2-bisdifluoramino-propane showed nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, acetylene and silicon tetrafluoride to be among the products. Preliminary examination of the products below the explosion limit indicated that acetylene was not present. Experiments on the temperature rise during the induction period yielded a figure of 30 at 406 C. (Author)
