DEVELOPMENT OF A HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANT MILD DETONATING FUZE (MDF)-III

Abstract

MDF (mild detonating fuse) with a new and improved explosive is needed to withstand the expected flight environments of some missiles now being developed. A new explosive is recommended on the basis of chemical ddata and work reported herein: impact sensitivity, small scale gap sensitivity, small scale detonation velocity, and performance of mild detonating fuse at ambient and simulated high altitudes.
