DRAG AND STABILITY COEFFICIENTS OBTAINED FROM FREE-FLIGHT BALLISTICS RANGE FIRINGS OF MODELS OF MARK 6.

Abstract

Drag and stability coefficients were obtained from models of the Mark 6 at supersonic velocities. All models were fired in the Pressurized Ballistics Range No. 3 at atmospheric pressure. Two center of gravity positions were utilized. The results have been presented in curves, where the coefficients are plotted as a function of Mach number, and also presented in tabular form.
