Abstract
The objective of the FADAP Standard Data Library is to provide ASW data users with a library of selected summary data pertaining to the operational effectiveness of fleet ASW units. The library will consist of a body of data that is developed by Fleet ASW commands incident to reconstruction and analysis of ASW exercises and tests. Items for the Standard Data Library will be processed in accordance with standardized processing steps during reconstruction, and will be documented under a uniform format to insure compatibility of data obtained from the different fleet ASW activities. This document identifies and defines the proposed standard content of the initial version of the recommended FADAP Standard Data Library. The data items recommended herein have been selected for inclusion in the data files on the basis of a dual criteria-(1) the feasibility of generating the item currently or in the near term by the major ASW data-generating commands, and (2) the significance of the item to ASW data users. The standardization process will facilitate direct comparison and/or combination of data from exercises and tests conducted by different commands. (Author)
