STORABLE TOROIDAL COMBUSTOR DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM.

Abstract

Performance and cooling feasibility demonstrations are planned at 2000-psia chamber pressure with a 10,000-pound-thrust toroidal combustor using nitrogen tetroxide/50% hydrazine-50% unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (N2O4/N2H4-UDMH, 50-50) propellants. Injectors, workhorse chambers, and cooled chambers are being designed and fabricated to support these demonstrations as discussed in this report. Results of a performance analysis are also presented.
