SUMMARY OF NAVY STUDY PROGRAM FOR F4H-1 AND F8U-3 WEAPON SYSTEMS. (PARAMETER PLOTS FOR CO-ALTITUDE ATTACKS). VOLUME VII

Abstract

An investigation is reported of the tactical use capability of the F4H-1 and F8U-3 Weapon Systems. In Volumes I and III of this series, the effective attack zones for perfectly vectored, co-altitude attacks were presented. Selected samples of plots of parameter variations during the various fire control runs were presented. This volume is a continuation of the parameter plots for these co-altitude attacks. All runs presented are for the system employing the current AI radar (AN/APQ-50 or XN-2, AN/APQ-72). These runs originate at the 85% probability of detection point for this radar (12-13 naut mi head-on against B-47 size target). (Author)
