NOBLE GAS COMPOUNDS.

Abstract

A program was conducted to predict the stability of unknown fluorides of the noble gases. Two approaches were used - the ab initio type calculation for HeF and Huckel type calculations for HeF2 and NeF2. The resulting prediction is that no noble gas lighter than argon has a stable fluoride compound. (Author)
