156 Inch Fiberglass LITVC Motor Program. Volume 1.

Abstract

The majority of motor and component design effort, has been completed for the 156-7 Rocket Motor. Design features of the motor will include a monolithic fiberglass case, submerged nozzle, headend ignition system, PBAA propellant grain, elastomeric insulation, and an LITVC system using nitrogen tetroxide secondary injectant. The first fiberglass case has been fabricated and successfully hydroproof tested. The primary objective of the program is the demonstration static firing of a monolithic, flightweight, 156 in. diameter solid propellant motor with liquid injection thrust vector control. (Author)
