FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF LIQUID PROPELLANT DISPERSIONS.

Abstract

The influence of physical and chemical factors on the decomposition rate of aluminized hydrazine gel continues to be studied using a sensitive dilatometric apparatus. New hydrazine gelling agents which form gels possessing better flow properties than those of existing gels have been examined. The dilatometric studies have shown that reduction in the contamination of hydrazine improves storage stability. Aniline and water being stronger acids than hydrazine are believed to promote decomposition of hydrazine through formation of the hydrazonium ion. (Author)
