END BOOSTER FOR HEAT RESISTANT MILD DETONATING FUSE

Abstract

A heat resistant explosive system containing mild detonating fuse (MDF) and/or flexible linear shaped charge (FLSC) is not complete without an end booster to transfer detonation into and/or out of the system. The experimental work, leading to a successful series of designs, utilizing and exploiting the unique properties of a new explosive, is given along with the design of a typical end booster. (Author)
