DEVELOPMENT OF AN ELASTOMERIC SEAL FOR OMNIAXIAL MOVABLE NOZZLES (LOCKSEAL).

Abstract

The technical effort of the development of an elastomeric seal for omniaxial movable nozzles, is presented. The technical effort in this period included: (1) complete analysis of the elastomeric pads and metallic reinforcements in the seal, (2) bench tests on four development seals, and (3) rocket motor firings on three Lockseal TVC systems. The results of this effort are reviewed in this report.
