SYNTHESIS OF NEW FLUORINE COMPOUNDS.

Abstract

Previous work has been reexamined and it has been confirmed that ClF5 is a product of the reaction of OF2 with CsClF4 at pressures up to 680 atm. and temperatures between 175 and 300. Chlorine pentafluoride also is a product of the reaction of OF2 with ClF3 under similar conditions. Cesium fluoride and NF3 do not form CsNF4 at pressures up to 680 atm. and 300 degrees. (Author)
