Warhead Mechanisms Study.

Abstract

The results of basic shaped charge studies are presented. The successful development of a 152MM spin compensating fluted liner is described. Hypervelocity impact tests on composite targets are presented. Pellet energies up to 6.1 megajoules were used. The mechanism of the vaporific effect was studied. Test facilities are described.
