MECHANICAL STANDOFF BOMB FUZE.

Abstract

Laboratory, wind tunnel, and flight tests were made of fuzes capable of detonating standard bombs above the terrain at drop speeds to 350 knots. The fundamental feature of the fuze is the standoff extensor which deploys during flight.
