THE DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF A HYDROCARBON BINDER FOR HIGH ENERGY SOLID PROPELLANTS.

Abstract

Compatibility studies were extended to include epoxide and aziridine curing agents as well as isocyanates and the oxidizer hydroxylamine perchlorate. Hydroxy and olefinic functional groups are compatible with 'as received' LMH-1 and -2 and chrome coated Be, but carboxy groups were not. All these functional groups were compatible with hydroxylamine perchlorate. Isocyanate was the only curing agent which is practical in the hydroxylamine perchlorate system. (Author)
