EXPLOSIVES FOR SUPERSONIC MUNITIONS

Abstract

Two candidate explosives and their formulations with fuel ingredients have been compared to TNT for performance in the temperature range from -65 F. to the stagnation temperature expected on supersonic aircraft. Physical property data on preferred formulations are presented, with recommendations on their utility in the proposed application.
