PROCESS DEVELOPMENT OF A BINDER CONSISTING OF Z(NFPA)ZCOPOLYMER AND THE PLASTICIZER Z(TVOPA,)Z

Abstract

The preparation of a propellant binder consisting of an NFPA polymer dissolved in TVOPA was scaled from a 3-liter glassware system to a 10-gallon pilot plant. A total of 600 pounds of binder was prepared. Data and experience in solution copolymerization applicable to the design of a larger scale plant were obtained. (Author)
