LMH-1, A PROMISING HIGH ENERGY SOLID ROCKET FUEL.

Abstract

Aluminum hydride has been evaluated as a new solid rocket propellant ingredient. Recent product improvements have given material demonstrated to be sufficiently thermally stable for use in controlled environment missile applications. Formulations in solid propellants have been repeatedly demonstrated. All surveillance data on the improved recent material in propellant formulations indicate that such propellants will display a shelf life adequate for practical applications. Projected costs range from $6.00 to $9.00 per pound. (Author)
