STRUCTURAL AND SYNTHESIS STUDY OF INORGANIC OXIDIZERS.

Abstract

Liquid OF2, NF3, N2F4, OF2-NF3 mixtures, O2F2, and O3F2 have been studied. EPR, NMR, and IR investigations have been undertaken in the search for stable ions such as NF4(+), NF2(+), and OF(+). Results of these studies are reported. New techniques for the preparation of the higher oxygen-fluorides have been investigated and are reported. The synthesis of kinetically stabilized advanced oxidizers is discussed. (Author)
