ADVANCED PRESSURIZATION SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.

Abstract

The results of catalytic reactor experiments using mixtures of oxygen/hydrogen and oxygen/hydrogen/methane in the inert diluents, helium and nitrogen, are reported. Analyses are included showing the basis for the selection of the better gaseous mixtures as pressurants for use in propellant pressurization systems. The experiments include the areas of detonability, elevated temperature storage, catalytic reactor response and performance, and expulsion demonstrations. (Author)
