INVESTIGATION AND COMPILATION OF THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF ROCKET EXHAUST PRODUCTS.

Abstract

Supplements 20, 21, 22 and 23 of the JANAF Thermochemical Tables were issued to the users. Supplement 24 has been sent to the printers. Supplements 18, 19, 20, and 21 were merged to form the First Addendum to PB 168 370. Two computer programs have been written to facilitate work on the project. One program analyzes equilibrium data, to extract enthalpies of reaction and formation, by means of the second and third law treatments. The other is a curve fitting and smoothing program used for handling heat capacity and enthalpy data. Series D of the Propellant Ingredient Tables has been issued to the users, and Series E has been sent out to the JANAF panel for comment. The low temperature heat capacities and entropies of aluminum trichloride and aluminum tribromide have been completed and are reported. (Author)
