PROPULSION COMPONENT DEVELOPMENT FOR METALLIZED GELLED PROPELLANTS.

Abstract

Effort conducted on exploratory development of propulsion components for the CTF oxidizer and NOTSGEL-A fuel combination is detailed. While preparation of the gelled fuel has been a problem, a current mixing technique using a 5-gallon capacity anchor-blade mixer has been successful. An expulsion test using NOTSGEL-A has been conducted which uncovered a number of problem areas. Two types of fixed area injectors, the vortex and split-triplet injectors, have been test fired.
