CHARACTERIZATION AND EVALUATION OF LIGHT METAL HYDRIDES.

Abstract

Evaluation of new lots of light metal hydride was continued, and distinct improvements in material processibility were observed. These improvements in processibility parallel improvements in material purity. Detailed studies were initiated to determine the chemical mechanism in material passivation (tracer studies), and to establish effects of particle size (surface area) upon propellant interior ballistics and combustion efficiency.
