PREDICTING NF PROPELLANT SERVICE LIFE FROM HIGH-TEMPERATURE CUBE FISSURING TESTS.

Abstract

A large quantity of fissuring data was obtained for RH-SE-103 propellant over a wide range of cube sizes at several elevated temperatures. These data were correlated with an appropriate mathematical model, and predictions of fissuring storage life at service temperatures were made using the model. These predictions indicated that the service life of this propellant is adequate for many military applications. (Author)
