INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIONS GUIDE FOR THE REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM,

Abstract

The Intercultural Communications Guide for Republic of Vietnam was designed to present to the reader all presently available information on the most important objective groups in the country, with the hope that this information will be of assistance to U.S. advisors in the accomplishment of their diverse missions. The guide includes a small amount of background information (historical, sociological, economic, political, and military), as well as injunctions designed to prevent the commission by word or deed of acts that could be resented by the objective group concerned. A special section concerns the interpersonal relationship between the U.S. military advisor and his South Vietnamese counterpart. (Author)
