AIRBORNE RECONNAISSANCE MAGNETOMETER SYSTEM.

Abstract

The system employs a cesium vapor magnetometer, a frequency to voltage discriminator, and a bandpassed filter for the purpose of detecting ground-based magnetic anomalies from an airborne vehicle. The bandpassed information is presented on a display unit where it can be stored for periods up to an hour and/or can be photographed on 35-mm film strips. The final performance of the system is presented describing tests and reporting test data.
