HIGH TEMPERATURE SYNTHESIS.
Abstract
Attempts were made to synthesize new compounds containing ONF2 groups using known RONF2 compounds as sources of ONF2, based on the concept of obtaining free ONF2 radicals as intermediates. No new compounds were isolated and no new evidence was developed to confirm the reality of ONF2 free radicals as products of the decomposition of CF3ONF2 and SF5ONF2. The work included investigation of the thermal, photochemical and electrical discharge activation of CF3ONF2 and SF5ONF2, and attempts to induce reaction with N2F4 and CF3CF=CF2. (Author)
