LESSONS LEARNED, HEADQUARTERS, 199TH INFANTRY BRIGADE (LT) (SEP).

Abstract

During this period the brigade was engaged in the continuation of the TET aggression, launched by the North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong during an announced truce period. During the entire period the brigade continued counterinsurgency operations in the Republic of Vietnam with the brigade main base remaining at Camp Frenzell-Jones, Long Binh, Vietnam (YT 073122). North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong activities increased significantly with the brigade moving to exploit known and suspected enemy weaknesses.
