LESSONS LEARNED, (HEADQUARTERS, 1ST BATTALION,) 92D ARTILLERY

Abstract

The 1st Battalion, 92d Artillery remained attached to the 52d Artillery Group, operating primarily in a general support/reinforcing role throughout the Central Highlands. Support was provided to all Brigades of the 4th Inf Div, the 173d Abn Bde, the 3d ARVN Cavalry Squadron and the Pleiku and Kontum defense. During this period all units were engaged daily in combat operations, moving by road into 12 firing positions and by air (CH47 and CH54 helicopters) into 5 firing positions.
