High Altitude Performance Test of the YJ97-GE-3 Turbojet Engine (S/N E447007) (Part 1)

Abstract

An altitude performance calibration of the J97-GE-3 engine (S/N E447007) was conducted in an altitude propulsion engine test cell at AEDC. The performance of the engine was documented in the high altitude regime of the engine operating envelope and compared with the engine Model Specification. A comparison was also made between scale force and momentum balance methods of determining engine thrust.
