Lessons Learned, Headquarters, 2D Howitzer Battalion, 35th Artillery

Abstract

The battalion continues its mission to provide aerial observers for the visual reconnaissance program of the XUAN LOC area. The area of responsibility is generally limited by the range of the 175mm guns. The average number of missions and hours flown per day are three missions and six hours respectively. Since the 30th of July the battalion has had two 0-1 aircraft assigned for visual reconnaissance. This greatly improves the ability of the battalion to cover its area of responsibility.
