A BRIEF COST AND EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON OF THE 1127 (KESTREL) WITH DIFFERENT NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Abstract

A brief comparison is given of the cost and effectiveness of the 1127 (Kestrel) with simple and inertial navigation/attack systems using retarded bombs, 1000 lb bombs, cluster weapons and rockets and guns against tanks, parked aircraft and personnel. On this basis, recommendations are made on the navigation/attack system fit for the aircraft.
