ELECTRONIC TRANSITION MOMENTS FOR AIR MOLECULES

Abstract

Electronic transition moments for molecular bands which radiate 0 strongly in air in the temperature range 4000 to 9000 K have been determined from available experimental data in conjunction with recently computed Frank Condon factors. An analysis has also been made of the radiation in the infra- 2 red leading to effective Z-sq values for the free-free Kramers radiation produced by electrons scattered from neutrals.
