DEVELOPMENT AND FORMULATION OF EXPERIMENTAL DIISOCYANATE-BASED LAMINATING RESINS

Abstract

The successful synthesis of halogenated poly urethane resins for laminating is reported. The test results indicate that halogen group ings in a polyurethane resin, tend to increase the thermal stability of the resulting laminate and to increase the pot-life of the resin. Future efforts will be directed toward improving stability above 300 F of the polyurethane struc tural laminate.
